welcoming 2015
i suppose i have been managing my thoughts irresponsibly the past year, with barely any coherent entries that allows me to relive the things i have experienced, explored and all the scrumptious food i have savoured that led to the significant weight gain. part of my new year's resolution would be to document my thoughts more, that way i can reflect and hopefully and definitely try to improve and manage stress better.
to be honest, i did my financial reflection a month back, upon receiving my bonus and boy was i utterly depressed with the state of my financial health. i think all the crazy melissas, asics gel lyte iii collabs, holidays, bags and many many many other things such as lego, clothes and whathaveyou purchases really exhausted all the money i earned. i think the mistake was in not setting aside money for savings. especially when i have been teaching tuition painstakingly for 2014, and have no idea where all the money went. so all my tuition money will strictly go to savings from here on out. plus at least a quarter of my pay.
moving on to the state of my emotional well being which thankfully is stable now. i have been surviving managing family, boyfriend and friends very nicely of late. i definitely would love to have spent more time with friends though, if not for my lazy bones. well, plenty of trips and time for that in 2015!
health-wise, 2014 is much better than 2013. i no longer get that faint-like headaches or migraines as i am much wiser with the meds i am allowed to take. i will aim to make 2015 a mc-less year, and try very very hard to stay fit and healthy with plenty of exercises and healthier food consumption. i find it extremely hard to resist my craving for sweets, especially my beloved ice creams ):
lastly, my mental health: sort of in a plateau with no challenges and whatsoever. i do have plans to enrol in a part time visual communications course as well as to read voraciously about anything under the sun and stars that interests me. i think i need to set aside plenty of time at the library, cafe and stop losing myself in games and (anti)social media.
overall, i loved 2014. all the love, experiences are incomparable. truthfully, i have grown a lot the past year. work wise, i have fronted plenty of projects and i have crossed many many barriers. i do hope that 2015 will bring in more challenging obstacles that forces me to grow even more. wishing for a white christmas and an umrah trip with the parents, and of course the chance to visit my one and only king in june, which will be unlikely should i stay in the current position and be stuck with the long awaited event. lets wait for the year to unravel.
pushing myself to be more religious, patient and loving this coming year.
xx
